My Poems

Sit Like A Lady

From the very young age of six,

they tell you to fix that posture.

Straighten up, cross those legs if you want to prosper.

The misogynistic view gives power to few.

What does this have to do with how I sit?

They want the control

and now the position of my legs is being patrolled.

How does this unfold?

The male does not resist the urge to spread his legs from coast to coast.

But what happens when I uncross my dainty limbs?

And that's the most of his concerns.

God forbid I uncross my dainty limbs.

For that will cause problems for him.
